![]() ![]() The story is a little "whaaaat?" in places, though. You win them by finding candy canes and Christmas stockings. There are HOPs and minigames to replay from previous Final Cut games, also. Best of all, you get replayable puzzles, and not just for this game. You get the usual collectibles, a bonus chapter, achievements, replayable movies, and all the art and music. The Extras are the real selling point for me. ![]() I am somewhat annoyed by the fact that you have to solve some parts of the HOP to get access to other parts of the HOP, but that's probably because HOPs are my least favorite part. The HOPs were OK, though I am not a HOP person. The two minigames I found were fun, though easy. The music is ok-by that I mean that it's not so annoying that I had to turn it off. Others (sunnyglow, pennmom and biscuitsmama) have already written great, detailed reviews of this game, so I will just explain why it is an immediate buy for me. Excellent production values, great setting, mystery with twist ending, good CE bling, and last of its kind. Is it worth a CE? It is to me, because this is exactly the kind of game I enjoy. ![]() Fade to black pc game download plus#Other CE bling includes replayable HOs & puzzles, plus the usual. Souvenir room is a mini-collectible hunt. Check out the homage to Final Cut vid too. Find 3 each of candy canes & stockings and play bonus puzzles/HOs from past Final Cut games. Yay.įind small trophies resembling a face ("signs") in each scene, 41 in all. You may carry inventory items around 30 min before using it, instead of 5 sec later as in some games. Puzzles are easy to moderate, adventure level is decent. Puzzles and HOs are balanced, with option to play Match-3 on HO. No hammering ladders, feeding squirrels, finding well cranks or that tedium. Lots of scenery, 41 scenes to romp through, nice pacing, not too much "would you do me a favor?" nonsense, good creativity & design, and reasonable originality. As it turns out, it allows several twists and turns to the story, plus a surprise ending. The story you can get elsewhere, but I like the gadget that lets you assume someone else's appearance. Fade to black pc game download series#But I understand Eipix' desire to end on a high note, rather than dwindle away as some devs' series have done. On the one hand I hate to see the Final Cut series go, because I like the period, the art deco, the characters, and the tempo. It must have been a slow month for Saturn news and they needed to make it look like lots of stuff was coming out, but if you're going to lie, why not go the whole mile and claim the accompanying screenshots are from a leaked Saturn beta instead of the PlayStation version?) So, I'm removing the stuff about the N64 and Saturn versions until we get some solid evidence that they ever existed.Good Finale to an Excellent Series Based on the Main & Bonus Games while admitting that they've never seen a Saturn version and that Electronic Arts firmly denies one exists. I haven't been able to find anything on an N64 version, and the only reference to a Saturn version I've found is an Sega Saturn Magazine article which insists Fade to Black is being ported to the Saturn.
